In 1998, the Hall of Fame selection committee established an award to honor individuals who have made unusually significant contributions to the field of intercollegiate athletics. This award has been named the Robert Strimer Honor Award, in honor of longtime coach, athletic director, and dear friend, Robert "Bob" Strimer. This prestigious award has only been given five times since its creation in 1998.

At Homecoming 2007, the "W" Association will award the Sixth Robert Strimer Honor Award to Don Wedge '51.

Earlier on Saturday, the inductees will be recognized at Halftime of the football game. Visit the tentative schedule of events for a list of all the events during Homecoming Weekend 2007.
